Goals 2022-2023

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Advocacy

As UWSA President, I want to advocate for your needs by being your voice and representation. I want to make changes to our by-laws and policies to better reflect the current student body. I also want to be there for students when they have concerns in regards to academics, or university life in general. Finally, I want to enhance the university experience through amazing initiatives that impact all students on campus, regardless of your background. I would like to create a racialized student service alongside all the other services we already provide to ensure that all students are represented and advocated for on campus.

Increasing the Value of your Membership

With the experience I have, I understand what is realistic when it comes to making a change that students want to see. This means improving on services we already provide, as well as promoting them to students. I want our members to better understand what the UWSA does through a bigger social media presence, and an in-person presence. Furthermore, I want to continue making the opt-out process for Upass and Health and Dental a lot easier compared to how it’s been before through online forms and promotion.

Return to Campus

As we are finally returning to campus, I want to promote exciting in-person events, all the while keeping what students liked when it came to the online format. Welcome week is a big focus for me to bring all of us together to start a great year at Uwindsor through great concerts, tent parties, and other events that are sure to keep students excited. As an athlete myself, I understand how important our own University athletics are, and I vouch to better promote our teams on campus as a whole. One project would be to broadcast all sports live within our newly renovated Student Centre for everyone to see.
